Pinterest has now tracked the trail of some other social networks and has added advertisements. Pinterest has now "introduced pins". This is similar to introducing Facebook posts and introducing Twitter on Twitter. This functionality will only be available on Pinterest Business pages. Companies will have the opportunity to show their pins at the top of search results and sort streams for a fee. Promo pins will look like ordinary pins unless they get "introduced" tags. They will also have a small gray icon. If you click the icon, you can learn more about the pin and why the pin was displayed.
While Pinterest will now allow ads, they are careful. There will be no prominent banners or pop up ads. All advertised pins that you see should be appropriate. For example, if you are looking for diving then you might see familiar pins related to sections. You could see a pin for scuba diving, scuba diving and more. You must always know if you see a pin and why you see it.
Addition of ads and promotional posts is a plus for retailers. Retailers can use these promotional pins to drive traffic back to their pages. For example, if someone is looking for the shoe, then a shoe dealer will now have the opportunity to show promotional shorts for his shoe. Edison Research says that 27% Pinterest users have already bought on the basis of the pins they have seen.
As business owners, you want to find out what images are related to your business, which you can promote successfully on Pinterest. This can be done by accessing Pinterest Analytics. Please note that these types of analyzes are only available from Pinterest Business Account. The analyzes can show you which pins are the most, who's dressing them and what items are attached with this pin. This information can be used to determine which pins you intend to promote.
At this point, Pinterest is still promoting ads in the "testing phase". They are running ads from selected companies; however, they are not charging at this point. You need to create a Pinterest account now so that you will be ready when an ad is opened.
